- <p>The Maundy Thursday procession in Badalona is a religious and cultural tradition <strong>dating back to 1627</strong>. Although it was not held between 1974 and 1987, it returned with renewed vigour, bringing back the mysteries (religious statues) that had been kept in private houses during that 13-year period. The <strong>stillness and respect</strong> observed during the procession have led it to be known as the “Procession of Silence”.</p>
